  1. Hi
we are Iranians who have moved to turkey. My children are studying now one in high school and the other at the university as foreign students. We are applying for Turkish citizenship. Can my children continue their education as a foreign student after becoming a Turkish citizen?

    1. Hello,
      Thank you for your comment.

After acquisition of Turkish Citizenship, your children would continue education as Turkish Citizens on the same rights as Turkish Citizens by birth. Please, be informed that only your children who are under 18 years old are eligible for Turkish Citizenship application basing on your investment.

  4. I have a valid Short term residence in Turkey valid for 15 days. I got an acceptance and ogrenci bilgisi for a PHD Program from university. Can i apply for a transfer or renewal or new application?

    1. Hello,
      Thank you for your comment.

As you already have short term residence permit, you can transfer it into student residence permit before its expiration date. To apply after your current residence permit expires, you are supposed to go back to your country and apply for student visa to come back to Turkey and lodge new residence permit application.

  5. Hi, thanks for everything;
-Why is ith so hard to get and renew a residence permit these days. More and more extra papers are asked for by the officials even when one takes all the required documents.
-What’s the most and best valued document on both the residence permit and the work permit?
-Can I renew my work permit even after my residence permit expired and I couldn’t renew it?
-What’s the logic behind an official to ask you to bring a land title?
    Thanks best regards

    1. Hello,
      Thank you for your comment.

Changes of the rules regarding residence permit applcation is mostly caused by problems with overpopulation in İstanbul. There is no documents which are more or less important, all of the required documents must be presented by the applicants. Employer can apply for extension of work permit as long as current work permit is valid, there is no need for residence permit for this procedure. Title deed is required as a supporting document for the rental contract to prove that the contract is authentic and not only signed for residence permit purposes.

    1. Hello,
      Thank you for your comment.

İt is not possible for you to be a sponsor of your family while staying in Turkey with student residence permit. Although if your spouse obtains residence or work permit independently, it is possible for your family to come as well. Both you and your spouse are allowed to work in Turkey after your future employer apply for your work permit. You can apply for one year residence permit after graduation to look for a job in Turkey. We provide services regarding residence and work permit application. The scope of our services and fees depends on the city you are planning to stay in.

  9. Hello, I’m a student (MSc) in North Cyprus with an invitation letter for a thesis research in Istanbul, Turkey, from my Lecturer approved by the Rector of my Universiy. Pls what kind of visa should i apply for? and what kind of residence permit will i apply for when i get to Turkey?

    1. Hello,
      Thank you for your comment.

You should obtain visa for scientific research purposes and also there is the same type of residence permit, which you will need to apply for.

      Best Regards,

      1. THANKS A LOT FOR your quick RESPONSE. However, theres nothing like ”scientific research purpose” in the online application page but there’s ”course purpose” under the Education type of visa. you think it could be ”course purpose”?

        1. İf you are not going to attend any classes or courses in Turkey, visa for education purposes with invitation letter from the university as a proof of your reason to stay in Turkey will be your basis to apply for student residence permit.

  10. without my student enrollment certificate, can i have residence permit , which i can’t able to pay the school fees and but i’m already having my student visa and arrived in turkey … please what can i do to have residence permit in turkey

    1. Hello,
      Thank you for your comment.

İf you arrived to Turkey on student visa, the only type of residence pemit you can obtain is student one. But to obtain student residence permit you need certificate from school in Turkey. Otherwise you would need to leave Turkey and come back on another type of visa to apply for different kind of residence permit.
