Residence Permit

Address Registration for Foreigners in İstanbul will be Completed in Migration Administration

First of all, we need to remind you that foreigners can have their address registrations and, in case of a change in their residence, have their address changes made by the civil registry offices in their province in Turkey. According to the change made in the relevant application recently; from now on, foreigners will not be able to register their addresses with the civil registry offices in İstanbul. Instead, these procedures were started to be provided by the Immigration Administration. If you are obtaining a residence permit for the first time in Turkey, you must complete your address registration by applying to the nearest Immigration Administration within 20 days at the latest after you receive your permit card. If the address registration process is not completed within the legal period, you may be subject to administrative fines. In addition, you may encounter many negative situations up to the cancellation of your residence permit. Foreigners living in İstanbul can apply to the nearest Immigration Administration for their address registration procedures.

If you have questions about the change of address of foreigners in Istanbul, you can send them to us in the comments section.
