After this malfunction immediately after leaving the delivery center in Xiamen city, the vehicle was towed back to the delivery center and no problems were found after the first inspection. Xiaomi officials announced that they will take the vehicle back.
The owner of the vehicle stated that he did not want a refund but requested an exchange, but Xiaomi stated that a detailed inspection should be carried out at the factory to identify the problem that occurred in the vehicle and to prevent it from occurring in other vehicles.
Sharing screenshots of his conversation with the service, Mr. Wen’s insistence on a replacement instead of a refund was successful. However, since Xiaomi has a large amount of orders, the delivery of the new vehicle will take time. Xiaomi will pay a daily compensation of 150 yuan until the new vehicle is delivered.
