The Use of Productive Artificial Intelligence Increased in Workplaces! Companies Not Introducing This Technology Will Fall Behind
Productive AI is spreading rapidly into the workplace. In many countries, such as the UK, a third of companies are using this technology. Here are the details!
Nearly a third (31%) of UK companies are already using some form of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) technology, and that number will continue to grow rapidly in the coming years, according to new research.
The research by Capgemini found that while GenAI may not seem as widespread as the headlines make it out to be, this figure is significantly higher than the 3% a year ago.
Companies Start Using More Artificial Intelligence
The 1,100 global executives surveyed revealed significant benefits from using GenAI. On average, companies reported an 8.1% increase in productivity, 6.3% increase in operational efficiency and 6.2% increase in customer engagement and satisfaction. They also saw a 4.2% increase in sales and a 3.1% reduction in costs.
Moreover, an overwhelming majority (89%) confirmed plans to implement AI tools or agents in the next one to three years. This demonstrates the growing confidence and interest of the business community in this new technology.
Capgemini also highlighted that there is more optimism about GenAI among British businesses. This is because four in five (84%) of those surveyed believe the technology will drive transformation, increased revenue and innovation. This is significantly higher than the global average of three in five (60%).
However, the research also revealed some challenges. While almost all (98%) of the companies surveyed said they have some degree of GenAI adoption, many may not be reaping the full benefits due to infrastructure, data or budget constraints.
Overall, the findings show that GenAI is rapidly being adopted in the business world and will play an even more important role in the coming years. Companies that adopt this technology stand out as having the potential to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction.
