Residence Permit

What Happens If Residence Permit Is Not Obtained After Conditional Entry?

Recently, our customer representatives have started to receive a lot of questions about conditional entry. One of the most curious details about conditional entry is how the legal consequences will be faced in case of not having a residence permit within 10 days after conditional entry. First of all, it should be known that foreigners who enter conditionally must submit their residence permit applications to the nearest Directorate of Migration Management within 10 days. During this period, if the foreigner does not go to the Immigration Administration by making an appointment, or if they apply for a residence permit and receive a negative result, they may face temporary entry bans. We always advise all foreigners to complete both the extension and first residence applications within the legal period of stay in Turkey.

If you have questions about the legal consequences of not making a residence permit application within 10 days after conditional entry in Turkey, you can send them to us in the comments section.
