Twitter’s Biggest Competitor Threads Opened: Record User Count Goes!

Threads, the new social media platform owned by Meta, which was established as a competitor to Twitter, was launched. The platform started to break records with its launch.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, launched the social media platformThreads, which aims to compete with Twitter.

The new app, developed by the Instagram team, allows users to share their text content and participate in their general chat.

What Do Threads Promise Users?

Users can login to Topics using their Instagram account. Unlike Twitter, Threads has a 500 character limit and supports sharing links, photos and five minutes of video.

The platform, which can be used by both iOS and Android users in more than 100 countries, can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store in these regions.

Threads Reached Over 10 Million Users

Threads reached over 2 million registered users within the first two hours of its launch. The current number of users of the platform has exceeded 10 million and continues to grow exponentially.

Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, expressed his excitement for the platform and its vision to create an open and friendly space for discussion and thought sharing.
