The first iPhone without gelatin sold for $ 158 thousand

The 2007 model iPhone, which never came out of the box, found a buyer for $158,644 at the auction.

The iPhone, first introduced by Apple in 2007, changed the balance in the phone market and inspired many brands.

15 years ago, when Steve Jobs introduced the first iPhone, he used the phrases “The touchscreen large-screen iPod is a revolutionary mobile phone and groundbreaking internet communication device”.

Much has changed since then, and the iPhone has made Apple the largest company in the world.

Record offer for the first unopened iPhone

The 2007 model iPhone, which never came out of the box, found a buyer for $158,644 at the auction.

This sale means a new record, surpassing the previous prices of $ 63 thousand 356 and $ 54 thousand 904.

What the first iPhone offered

The classic app grid, single functional home button, and all-touch keyboard and control were among the highlights of the first iPhone.

Although the phone was ready for internet and media consumption, it lacked a number of key features at the time, including 3G and the App Store.

The first iPhone, which came with a 3.5-inch touchscreen, offered users a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The iPhone, which had a single 2MP rear camera, did not have any camera in front.

Offering 4, 8 and 16 GB storage options, the phone only offered 2G support and was powered by a single-core ARM 11 processor.

On the other hand, the phone offered only 8 hours of talk time with its 1400 mAh battery.

The launch price of Apple’s first smartphone, the iPhone, was $499 for the 4GB model and $599 for the 8GB memory model.

According to the official figures announced by Apple, the first iPhone reached 1.3 million sales worldwide.
