Japanese Billionaire Maezawa: I Will Make A Big Announcement About Space
Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa announced that he will make a “big announcement” about space after meeting with SpaceX owner Elon Musk.
Yusaku M., founder of online fashion website Zozo Inc 3092.T, took a tourist trip to the International Space Station (ISS) in a Soyuz spacecraft in December last year.
Musk’s rocket and satellite company plans to travel around the moon with SpaceX in 2023.
The 47-year-old entrepreneur tweeted that he met with Musk online and could make a big space-related announcement on December 9.
Space enthusiast Yusaku M. will be the first private passenger on the SpaceX Moon mission, with a weekly flight scheduled for 2023, as commercial companies including Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin usher in a new era of space travel for wealthy customers.
