Apple will make a design change in the iPhone 15 series. The key structure will change, especially on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models. The new leak shows this clearly.
According to the CAD images shared on Twitter, Apple will make the first design change in the keys with the 2023 iPhone models. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will have a combined volume button and mute button.
Farewell to the Mute Switch!
iPhone 15 Pro models will have a single long button instead of separate buttons for volume up and down. The mute switch, available since the first iPhone model 2007, will become the mute button that can be pressed. This button will act as the iPhone’s ringtone to turn on and off. Both the volume and mute keys are said to have a solid state design. This means that the keys will give vibration feedback when pressed.
Will Be Exclusive to Pro Models
This change is expected to be exclusive to Pro models. The flat iPhone 15 and 15 Plus model will have two physical volume keys and a mute switch.
