iPhone 15 Pro’s faster USB-C cable appeared

The iPhone 15 series will come with a braided USB-C cable. However, it is said that the Thunderbolt cable, which will allow faster charging and data transfer, will not come out of the box.

Will not work out of the box, will be sold separately

According to the person who shared the images, the Thunderbolt USB-C cable for the iPhone 15 Pro will be 0.8 meters long. Apple’s current Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable is 1.8 meters long. The cable is said to support charging up to 150w. It is claimed that Apple will sell this cable separately.

According to Apple analyst Kuo, the iPhone 15 Pro models support at least USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3, however. However, the leaked USB4 cable is based on the Thunderbolt 4 protocol. This means it offers speeds equivalent to 40Gbps, or twice the speed of the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard. This cable will also be capable of delivering faster (150w instead of 100w) power delivery than Apple’s current Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable. Charging at these speeds may also apply to the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. Speaking of charging, the new iPhones will support fast charging up to 35w.

The iPhone 15 is said to be braided out of the box, with a cable 50% longer than the current charging cable. The cables are said to be compatible with possible new iPhone colors – black, white, yellow, blue, orange.
