Netlist Inc., a specialist in enterprise SSD drives. The patent infringement lawsuit filed by Texas courts has been concluded. The court jury decided that Samsung, which it thought violated, should pay $303 million in damages. The infringement is 5 different patents related to the design of memory modules used in high performance computer systems.
In the case that lasted for many years, the jury decided in favor of Netlist in 2021 and the calculation of the direct damage was started. Netlist’s direct and indirect damage was determined to be $303 million this week.
Netlist isn’t just after Samsung. In the past years, he has also sued Google and SK Hynix for patent infringement. It is stated that these lawsuits can result in hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation.
