WHAT IS VACCINE?

Vaccines are highly reliable biological products. They are tightly controlled during the production and distribution stages.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey;
All vaccines used in Turkey are approved by the World Health Organization (WHO), European Medicines Agency (EMA), US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or T.C. These are vaccines licensed by the Ministry of Health, Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK) and produced in accordance with the rules of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) recommended and approved by the World Health Organization. For each series produced, detailed analyzes and tests are carried out by both the manufacturer and the official authorities of the country of production. Harmlessness and efficacy analyzes and compatibility tests of purchased vaccines and antisera are carried out by T.C. It is carried out by the Pharmaceuticals, Biological and Medical Products Laboratory, which is the national reference laboratory under the control of the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency under the Ministry of Health, with experienced personnel and advanced devices. All administered vaccines and antisera have passed the analysis and are safe. Vaccines that do not pass the analysis are returned and a vaccine is requested from another batch.

Until the vaccines are purchased from the manufacturer and administered to the person to be vaccinated, they are kept in the appropriate temperature range within the cold chain system in all health institutions and are constantly monitored by the Vaccine Tracking System (ATS).

WHAT IS VACCINE TRACKING SYSTEM? (ATS)

The Vaccine Tracking System (ATS), developed by the TR Ministry of Health, General Directorate of Public Health (HSGM), established and operated with service procurement, provides evidence-based product safety. T.R. Real-time monitoring of the temperature of the products (vaccine and antiserum) subject to the cold chain managed and managed by the Ministry of Health throughout Turkey, in the warehouses and cabinets where they are stored and in the vehicles they are transported, uninterrupted and regular recording of the necessary information, reporting, monitoring from the relevant centers and, where possible, appropriate It is designed to give warnings to the relevant people via methods (SMS, e-mail, call).

There are 12,298 temperature monitoring devices and 13,447 stock units (vehicle/cabinet/cold storage) across the country. After the controls on the ATS, up to 2 million doses of vaccination are carried out per month in more than 10,000 different units.

Over temperature and power cut warnings are made to the relevant units 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via the ATS Call Center, and support is provided in all stock management issues.

The number of users defined in the system is 80,000, and the number of active users assigned to units is 65,000. All users are healthcare professionals.
