“Origami Robot” Developed for Disease Treatments – Millibot
Japanese scientists, inspired by the art of paper folding “origami”, developed a robot that will cure diseases inside the human body.
The robot, which works by moving inside the human body, can change shape, turn, move in a narrow space, and change direction at any time.
The device, known as “Millibot” and acting by taking power from body fluids, can carry the drug that will provide the treatment and obtain data on the functioning in the problem area.
The robot can cover a distance up to 10 times its length in a single jump.
Scientists are hopeful that the robot in question will revolutionize medicine.
Dr. Ruike Zhao pointed out that this amphibious device is the most powerful and functional robot they have ever developed.
