Man Who Had His Arm Amputated To Save the Baby in Hatay Dies

An unfortunate man named Cuma, who was under the rubble with his baby niece Kevser in Antakya, had his arm amputated to save his nephew. While both were rescued from the wreckage, Friday died in hospital.

An unfortunate man named Cuma, who was under the rubble with his baby niece Kevser in a rescue operation he witnessed, had his arm amputated to save his nephew.

Friday, who accepted to have his arm amputated in order to reach Kevser, who remained behind, was removed from the rubble and taken to the hospital.

Hatipoglu described those moments as follows:

There’s a man inside that building. Behind him is the baby. The man’s arm was trapped under the rubble, and he soon agreed that they’re going to amputate his arm, to get to the baby behind him. A big thing is happening here. This place is not like what you see on TV.

He Died in the Hospital

Cuma, who was being treated, could not stand it any longer in the hospital and died.

While the moments when the baby Kevser was pulled out of the wreckage were reflected in the cameras, Hatipoğlu could not hold back his tears in the face of this event he witnessed.
