The Social Security Institution (SGK) allows citizens to inquire about their premium debts via e-government. One of the inquiries on e-government is the SGK premium debt learning screen. Citizens of the Republic of Turkey can learn whether SGK premiums are paid or not by logging in with their TR Identity Number and identity information on the SGK website. In this application, after filling out the information on the page and pressing the button, a new page will open, from which “service information” and then 4A should be selected. After these transactions are completed, detailed insurance breakdown can be accessed. With the e-government password, all SGK premiums can be viewed, and it is easy and fast to query whether the insurance is paid or not.
The e-government system is a technological system created to facilitate the services of public institutions and organizations of citizens. It is used through a website and mobile application. In addition to Turkish citizens, foreigners who have a valid foreigner identification number in Turkey can also make inquiries regarding SGK premiums by registering in the e-government system.
Foreign nationals must have a valid residence address in order to benefit from e-government services in Turkey. Foreign citizens can access the system via www.turkiye.gov.tr by completing the documents requested by public institutions and obtaining an e-government password from PTT branches. There is also an English language option for citizens who do not speak Turkish in the e-government system. At the same time, foreign nationals who have opened an account with any bank beforehand can do their banking-related transactions via the e-government system without going to PTT branches.
