Frightening Apple Watch Study: Majority of People Don’t Get Enough Sleep!
A study of Apple Watch data revealed that the vast majority of people don’t get enough sleep.
Sleep problem stands out as one of the biggest problems of modern man. Scientists doing research on this subject have published Apple Watch data to identify people who have sleep problems.
In an article published recently, scientists examining the data collected by the Apple Heart application from users found that the vast majority of people do not sleep enough.
70% of people sleep less than necessary
Examining 2.9 million hours of sleep data collected from 42,000 Apple Watch users, the researchers determined that the average sleep time of users was 6 hours and 27 minutes.
On the other hand, according to the study, it was announced that 68.8% of the participants slept less than the recommended minimum sleep time. In the study, it was found that weekend sleep time also changed. While 66.4% of the participants slept before 12 on weekdays, this rate decreased to 56.6% at the weekend.
Experts say that insufficient sleep can cause diseases such as heart disease, cognitive decline, dementia, depression, obesity and high blood pressure.
