Chickpea Harvest Continues in Karaman
Chickpea harvest continues in Kazimkarabekir district of Karaman. Karaman Agriculture and Forestry Provincial Director Yusuf Sahinbas, Herbal Production Branch Manager Omer Koka and Kazimkarabekir District Manager Ayse Koca attended the chickpea harvest in Kizilkuyu village of the district. In his speech, Provincial Director Sahinbas stated that they distributed 14 thousand kilos of chickpea seeds to 1,400 decares and said, “Within the scope of the Effective Use of Agricultural Lands (TAKEP) Project, the harvest started in 2022. In Kazimkarabekir district, under the name of ‘The quality of chickpeas is the abundance of the town’, chickpea seeds were distributed on 1,400 decares of land. We are very happy to see that our producers are satisfied with the yield and that our producers are satisfied with the product yield. Stating that the projects will continue to increase in the 2023 production season, Sahinbas wished the producers a productive season.
