Can Someone Delivery Your Residence Permit Card? Information About the New Application

Especially in the recent period, with Turkey becoming one of the countries that are more and more preferred for foreigners, a significant increase is observed in residence permit applications. Residence permits are given under six different headings as short-term, long-term, family, student, humanitarian and human trafficking residence permits. The number of citizens holding a residence permit, which was 460 thousand as of 2016, has approached 600 thousand as of the end of 2019 and maintains its increasing trend from year to year. Although there has been a decrease in the number of foreigners who obtained a residence permit in the last 1.5 years due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, today millions of foreigners can live in Turkey with an official residence permit and participate in business life in different sectors. Residence permit cards are also sent to the addresses declared by foreigners whose residence permit applications are accepted. In the past, residence permit cards were only delivered to the card holder, and no one else could get this card. However, with the new application, it is now possible to obtain residence permit cards by someone else.
