Apple will pay its users because of the battery problem!

The lawsuit alleging that Apple reduced the battery life of iPhones is nearing its end. The company will settle its debt to its users. Here are the details!

If you remember, a lawsuit was filed against Apple in 2018. In this case, allegations were made that the company deliberately slowed down the batteries of iPhone devices. It was even revealed that Apple had reduced the performance of iPhone models with aging batteries.

The company was almost accused of fraud. As a result of this behaviour, Apple accepted the settlement in 2020 and offered to pay $ 65 to its users. New steps have been taken for the company to make these payments.

It is very close to making payments!

Apple made a statement after the allegations, “We have never done and will never do anything to intentionally shorten the life of any Apple product or disrupt the user experience to provide customer upgrades.”

Nevertheless, complaints continued and users demanded payment. Two iPhone users even appealed on the grounds that the compensation of $ 65 was low.

Although these objections were rejected by the court, a new decision was taken to make payments as soon as possible. According to the decision taken, after the appeal process, the company will start depositing $ 65 payments to its users.

The beneficiaries of these payments will be iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone SE users.

Since 2020, 3 million users have requested payment. Accordingly, Apple will pay approximately $ 500 million to its users in the US.

This incident and the class action lawsuit, which affects Apple’s reputation extremely badly, seems to end soon.
