Hello,
I am kind of in a strange situation. My employer in Turkey has let me know that my work permit application has been rejected. But when I emailed the Turkish Consulate, they responded 2 days later letting me know that the application is still under review. Not rejected or approved yet. Is it possible that the employer has more information than the Turkish Consulate?
Hello,
Thank you for your comment.
We do not know any details of your application so we can not track the progress to tell anything for sure. But it is possible that your employer contacted Ministry of Labour and received the informations before any update regarding your application was received by the Consulate. We recommend you to keep in touch with your local Turkish Consulate to follow any changes in your application status.

Hi i m in turkey on Aiesec internship visa i am teaching here in a school with salary and my contract is of one year is there anyway i can change my visa type to work visa and get a proper full paid job and work permit because on this current visa although i am working 9-5pm still it doesn’t require any work permit please guide me about it thanks.
Hello,
Thank you for your comment.
Your work permit application can not be submitted basing on an internship visa. İf your employer decides to emloy you after the internship, you can go back to your country and they can apply via Turkish consulate there. İf they application will be approved, within one month you would receive work visa and after arrival to Turkey, work permit as well.
Kind Regards,
Hello,
Is there any way to expedite my work permit faster than the 30 days max? I am still waiting on the letter from my employees to take to the consulate (which hopefully will be coming any day now). However, my employers seem to think I will be in Turkey within the next four weeks or so. I don’t see how this is possible. Is there is a route that I should consider?
Thank you!
Hello,
Thank you for your comment.
There is no way to speed up the application procedures, you can only take care of the documents being delivered to the Consulate as soon as possible and that you would take your work visa right after application is approved.

Hi
I think I was not able to explain my question let me repeat
1.if my employer apply for my work permit I get the work visa and I am in turkey I have work visa work permit now I will apply for residence visa so my question is that when I go to police station for residence permit what would be the duration of my residence permit my contact is one year will my residence permit will also be of one or it would be 6 months and then I have to renew it again.
Secondly i asked that if I want to change my job will I have to wait for 6 months or I can transfer my work permit to another organization with in Forest 2 or 3 months ? Thanks
Your work permit would be your residence permit in the same time. You can not apply for additional residence permit while staying in Turkey with work permit. Also, it is not possible to transfer work permit to another workplace within first 6 months.

Hi,
i have two questions, First, when I arrive in Turkey and go to the police station to obtain residence permit when my contract is of one year then what would be the duration of my residence permit for the first time would it be for 6 months or the whole one year according to my contract?
secondly, can i cancel my current contract with the company and join another company because they will pay me more is this possible without any problem or its illegal or something like that please explain thanks.
Hello,
Thank you for your comment.
İf you are planning to work in Turkey, your employer must apply for your work permit. You can not work while staying on residence permit or apply for residence permit basing on your job contract. First work permit is granted to a foreigner for maximum 1 year. İf you will want to change your workplace, after 6 months transfer of your work permit to another workplace would be possible. Otherwise your work permit will be cancelled and your new employer can apply for your work permit only via Turkish consulate in your country while you would be there.

Hello,
I am also suffering because of the delay with work permits. It’s been close to 4 months since our first application.
On the internet, it still shows to be in process, and calling to 170 info line is not very helpful – they always ask to just wait and have no specific information. Is there any better way for getting some information about the status of application?
Also, as my previous work permit has expired already with the beginning of May, I have no residence permit at the moment. Am I right, that it would be impossible to return Turkey when leaving the country in my situation? Or is there any way to get a substitution document for the waiting period?
Thank you,
Hello,
Thank you for your comment.
Four months is much longer than it usually takes, most of the appications is valuated within 30 working days. Only contacting Ministry of Labour can be a solution in this case, your employer should call or visit the Ministry for details. You are not supposed to leave Turkey before receiving your new work permit card, otherwise you might face problems to re-enter the country.

I had been employed legally for the past year. My employer cancelled my contract and therefore my work permit. I was informed that I have 10 days to leave the country. I enrolled in a Turkish language course and applied for a student residence permit in order to be able to stay in the country without interrupting a legal status. I am now searching for jobs and have been offered a few. If I accept the job offer can the employer then file for a work permit or will I need to receive my short term student residence permit first and then the employer can apply for a new work permit? Thank you for your time.
Hello,
Thank you for your comment.
You need to have at least 6 months valid residence permit first to obtain work permit within Turkey. Otherwise you need to leave Turkey and your employer can apply for your work permit via Turkish consulate in your country so you can come back to Turkey on work visa.

Hello,
My name is Mujahid from Jordan. at the moment I have a resident permit which will be valid until November 2018 and I want to apply for Work Permit now so is that possible or not inside Turkey? Also can your office or another office as you, process the application without the using of the E-DEVLET of My employer as he has some issues related to his E-DEVLET Number.
Waiting to hear your kind comments
