When Are The Turkey Elections? Here Is The Featured Date
While the debate on the “election date” continues, it has become certain that the date of the presidential and parliamentary general elections, the normal duration of which is June 18, 2023, will be withdrawn to May. The prominent election date in the AK Party is May 14.
The AK Party is preparing to take steps to pull the 18 June 2023 elections to May.
In this context, the dates of 7, 14 and 21 May are performed in the backstage.
However, according to the latest information, May 14 stands out among the options.
In order for the election to be held on one of these dates, the decision of the Turkish Grand National Assembly or the President’s Decision is required.
Opposition support is essential for the resolution to pass the Parliament. However, the opposition has announced that it will not support after 6 April.
In this context, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to make the election decision.
If a decision is made on 8 or 10 March, the 60-day process will begin and elections will be held on 14 May.
