WhatsApp is Bringing Message Search by Date to Android Devices!
One of the most requested features of WhatsApp, message search by date, will now be available for Android users. Here are the details!
After the company announced that it was working on implementing a new sidebar and a group chat filter to improve the user experience and make it easier for users to quickly find their conversations, it was now revealed that it was developing an option to quickly search for messages by selecting the date.
The highly-anticipated feature first came to iOS, Mac and web versions. The feature, which has been used on these devices for a long time, is starting to be released for Android users.
How Does Message Search by Date Work?
Zuckerberg said that Android users will now be able to use “search by date” in both individual and group chats. It is not yet clear when the feature, which is still being worked on, will come to Android devices.
As you can see in the screenshot, WhatsApp offers a calendar option that will allow users to open a date picker panel to make it easier to search for a message shared on a specific date.
