What is “Conditional Entry” to Turkey for Foreigners? How is it Applied?

As is known, a foreigner must have a valid visa or residence permit in order to stay legally in Turkey. Foreigners can face deportation penalties, known as deportations, if they violate visa or residence permit requirements. For this reason, foreigners living in Turkey must extend and renew their visas or residence permits before they expire. It is a special type of permit that allows foreigners who have a deport decision to enter the country by declaring that they will get a residence permit appointment within 10 days under the name of conditional entry. In this article, we will talk about the conditional entry into Turkey with the V84 restriction code.

What is Conditional Entry?

Foreigners who have a restriction code V84 added to their passports by the Directorate of Migration Management due to a visa or residence permit violation in Turkey, declare that they will get a residence permit appointment within 10 days by using the e-residence application within 10 days before entering the airport or various border gates in order to re-enter the country, and They can enter conditionally by signing. Basically, foreigners are faced with administrative fines when they violate a visa or residence permit in Turkey. If these foreigners leave the country voluntarily under the V84 code and pay the fine, they are not denied entry. These people can re-enter Turkey, provided that they get a residence permit appointment within 10 days, together with the “conditional entry” rule.

To Whom Does the V84 Restriction Code Apply?

Basically, the Immigration Administration applies the V84 restriction code to foreigners who violate their visa or residence permit periods. Within the scope of V84, we can evaluate foreigners as follows:

  • 180 and 90 days visa violation
  • 30, 60 and 90 days residence permit violation
  • V84 restriction code is set in Turkey for foreign nationals who applied for a residence permit within the visa period, but could not obtain a residence permit for any reason and violated their visa in this process.

In addition, we would like to remind you that foreigners who do not complete their residence permit applications within the 10-day period given for conditional entry are subject to a limited-term entry ban, that is, a deport decision.

  1. How can I verify that I fall under v84 violation? I paid the fine at the border/airport and voluntarily deported. Can I re-enter through conditional entry?
