US-based technology giant Google wants to find a solution to unwanted calls that users complain about.
The company is developing a method to effectively deal with all spam or automated calls through the use of artificial intelligence.
Google reportedly wants to create more capable technology that will better help users avoid spam/automated searches through conversational AI.
Unwanted Calls Will Be A Thing Of The Past
With the conversational, chat-based artificial intelligence to be developed, it will be possible to completely get rid of unwanted calls.
Jonathan Eccles, group product manager for the Phone by Google app, gave some insight into the feature.
Exactly how the feature works has not been explained, but it is rumored that incoming calls will be automatically routed to an AI response.
Google’s big language model LaMDA already powers ChatGPT competitor Bard and is likely to be used for call blocking.
Jonathan Eccles says that the feature could come later this year. The new feature will probably first appear in the Pixel 8 series.
