UAV Launched from Russia to Turkey
A Russian UAV, which is considered to be an Orlan-10 model, crashed on a mountainous terrain in the Kurtun district of Gumushane. Citizens who went to collect mushrooms found the UAV, which could not be determined when it crashed.
Citizens, who went to collect mushrooms in the mountainous land between Tilkicek village and Kazikbeli Plateau in Kurtun district, saw a damaged Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) on the ground. The security forces, who were dispatched to the region upon the notice, determined that the UAV, with a wingspan of approximately 3 meters, was a Russian-made unarmed Orlan-10 model for reconnaissance.
DID IT COME FROM THE WAR ZONE?
It is evaluated that the UAV with a range of 1,400 kilometers came to this region on its own after the signal was lost from the Ukraine region or the Syrian region due to the war.
TO BE EXAMINED
The UAV, which was taken from the scene by the security forces, was sent to Ankara for examination.
