Twitter’s Copy Bluesky Has Been Opened, But Not Everyone Can Become A Member
Twitter’s co-founder and former CEO Jack Dorsey’s social networking platform Bluesky has been launched. The application, which is officially published on the iOS App Store, is currently only accepted by invitation members.
Jack Dorsey, who left Twitter with the arrival of Elon Musk, has been working on his own social network since May 2022. Bluesky, which draws attention with its similarity to Twitter, was first opened to iPhone users, everyone can download it, but not everyone can become a member. To join the new social network, users must receive an invitation from someone who is already a member.
New Twitter Alternative: Bluesky
Bluesky’s official site does not offer many details about the social network. Only users are allowed to join waiting lists to get an invitation code. Bluesky, a simplified version of Twitter, is based on the AT protocol in the background. AT is similar to ActivityPub, the protocol that powers Mastodon, another social network that is quite similar to Twitter in some ways.
After the arbitrary decisions made by Elon Musk on Twitter, Twitter alternatives began to emerge. The Mastodon of the Tweetbot developers, now the Bluesky of former Twitter boss Dorsey… Let’s see which social network is next.
