Turkmen Gas Is Transported To Turkey. Work Is About To End

Vice President Fuat Oktay announced that 3 alternatives are being worked on for the delivery of Turkmenistan natural gas to Turkey and the studies are nearing the end.

Vice President Fuat Oktay made a press statement at the Turkish Embassy in Ashgabat to evaluate his official contacts and agreements in Turkmenistan. Stating that the relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey have a history of 30 years, Oktay said, “Turkey is the first country to recognize the independence of Turkmenistan and to open an embassy here. But we have an ancient history that goes back long before that.” said.

Stating that he sees a developing relationship between the Turkish world and Turkey, Oktay said, “We are witnessing a more systematic and institutional development of relations in political, economic and many other fields within the framework of the Organization of Turkish States. For this, the leaders of the Turkish states, especially our President, are making great efforts. Of course, this is a project that will contribute to the peace of the region and the economic development of the region,” he said.

Saying that a developing graphic is seen when the relationship between Turkey and Turkmenistan is examined, Oktay said, “We would like to see brotherly Turkmenistan, which joins the Organization of Turkic States as an observer member, as a permanent member at the next meeting to be held in Uzbekistan.” said.

Oktay stated that they had the chance to frame the relations between the two countries at the Intergovernmental Turkish-Turkmen Commission (HEK) Meeting on Economic Cooperation.

Pointing out that a road map consisting of 72 items has been drawn, Oktay stated that they aim to increase the commercial relationship, which is currently 2 billion dollars , to 3 billion dollars by the end of the year, and to 5 billion dollars afterwards, and to 10 billion dollars in the future.

Oktay said that there are works knitted like lace that will improve relations in the energy , transportation, agriculture, health and construction sectors.

Stating that there are several alternatives to deliver Turkmen natural gas to Turkey, Oktay said, “We are working on 3 alternatives: using the TANAP line over the Caspian, a SWAP agreement or a pipeline after ships and ships, and if we are lucky, we are close to the end.” said.

Oktay stated that Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov had serious support for this project to be achieved immediately.

Proposal for joint farming for the future

Stating that the northern corridor has become risky due to the crisis between Russia and Ukraine, and this makes the middle corridor much more attractive, Oktay said, “We want to activate the middle corridor in many areas. It is important to create a sea, rail and air logistics infrastructure by using the Caspian crossing. Here, too, we saw that there is mutual determination and sincere cooperation.” he said.

Expressing that they have decided on a clear cooperation in the field of agriculture , Oktay said that the relevant ministers are working and will start operating immediately.

Oktay stated that future-oriented joint agriculture can be done with Turkmenistan, which is the raw material for fertilizer production.

Stating that they will activate a joint working group on facilitating customs procedures and alleviating bureaucratic obstacles in trade and investment, Oktay said, “We have seen a very clear desire for cooperation on both sides. As I said, we underline this. We will be coming to a stage where it is thrown.” used the phrases.
