The World’s Best Salads Have Been Announced: 4 Salads From Turkey On The List
Taste Atlas, a website known for highlighting traditional recipes, has announced the world's best salads. The list of 50 types of salads included 4 flavors from Turkey.
TasteAtlas, a travel guide that brings together reviews by taste critics and research on food, has ranked the best salads in the world. The list includes 4 traditional salads from Turkey.
Purslane salad ranked 36th in the list of the world’s best salads.
Flavored with tomatoes, onions, cucumbers and sauces, the salad is known to go well with meat dishes.
In 31st place was “eggplant salad”. Roasted eggplant is the main ingredient in the salad, which also includes red peppers, tomatoes, onions and sauces.
Although “kısır”, which ranks 22nd on the list, is not included in the salad category in our country, it has managed to become one of the best salads in the world with its unique flavor.
“Piyaz salad”, one of our traditional flavors, ranked 19th in the list. Offering a unique flavor with boiled beans, onions, parsley and plenty of sour sauce, piyaz is preferred with meatballs or meat dishes.
At the top of the list is “dakos salad” from Greece.
