Sisli Etfal Training and Research Hospital
Sisli Etfal Training and Research Hospital is a training and research hospital located in Sisli, Istanbul. In 1899, It was established by order of the Ottoman II. Sultan Abdulhamid. It is Turkey’s first pediatric hospital. The hospital was named “Sisli Children’s Hospital” in 1922 and became a public hospital under the administration of the Ministry of Health and Social Aid. Sisli Etfal Hospital incorporated and developed institutions such as Sisli Nurse and Laborant School (1946-1956), Florence Nightingale School of Nursing (1961-1965) and Mother and Child Health Istanbul Center (1962-1988). Today, it trains assistants in 21 specialties.
