Rabies Panic in Adiyaman; Quarantine Decision Made in 3 Villages for 6 Months!

It was understood that a dog with rabies symptoms in the Dikilitaş village of Besni district of Adiyaman was rabid as a result of the tests. The villages of Yenikoy and Zormagara, along with the Dikilitas village where the rabies case occurred, were put under quarantine. It was stated that in the villages where all the necessary precautions were taken, all cats and dogs will be vaccinated as of Monday, and quarantine will be applied for 6 months in the villages of Dikilitas, Yenikoy and Zormagara.

The news of rabies from Adıyaman caused concern. According to the news, the dog belonging to Ali cakmak, who lives in Dikilitas village of Besni district, was treated when he fell ill. Samples taken from the dog with signs of rabies were sent to Adana Control Laboratory. The dog was culled after it was discovered that the dog had rabies during the tests conducted here.

In the village of Dikilitas, where the rabies case took place, the dogs and cats that were thought to be in contact with the rabid dog and were also suspected were culled.

6 MONTHS QUARANTINE WILL BE APPLIED

In addition to the Dikilitas village, Yenikoy and Zormagara villages were also quarantined.
