New Design Changes Coming to Spotify’s Desktop App
Two major design changes have come to Spotify’s desktop app. Here are all the details about the new update!
Popular music streaming platform Spotify is preparing to revolutionize the desktop experience of its users with a major refresh. The redesigned “Library” and “Now Playing” view aims to provide a seamless and immersive way to discover, organize, listen to and organize music on computers and web browsers.
Spotify has made a few new additions to align its desktop experience with its mobile app, while keeping the main content area the center for browsing and discovering recommended songs and podcasts.
On the left side of the application window, users will find the new Library tab, which provides quick access to their saved music and podcast collections. Initial feedback shows that the new Library saves time, provides a better overview, and makes it easy to switch between playlists effortlessly.
It’s Much Easier to Reach Artists’ Tour Dates
The Now Playing view on the right prominently shows the currently playing song or podcast. Users also have access to more information about the track and artist, including tour dates and products, making it easy to connect with and discover more about their favorite artists.
The new Library design allows users to easily search and filter their personal collections. Customization options allow users to resize Library and Now Playing according to their preferences. In addition, playlists can be pinned and moved, and songs can be easily added to playlists with drag-and-drop functionality.
The new design will begin rolling out to all Spotify Desktop users worldwide today.
