Yasemin Adar Yigit, who represented Turkey in the women’s 76 kg category at the World Wrestling Championship held in Serbia, won the gold medal. The national athlete, who also won the gold medal at the World Championship held in Paris in 2017, reached the 5th European Championship this year in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
National wrestler Yasemin Adar Yigit became the world champion by defeating Egyptian Samar Amer İbrahim Hamza 6-0 in the women’s 76 kg final of the World Wrestling Championship.
On the fifth day of the World Wrestling Championship held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, Egyptian wrestler Samar Hamza and Yasemin Adar Yiğit faced off in the women’s 76 kg final. Defeating his opponent 6-0 in the last match of the day at Stark Arena, Yigit won his second world championship in his career.
Turkey has so far won 6 medals, 3 gold and 3 bronze, in the championship in Serbia.
