NASA researcher Dr. Michelle Thaller expressed her strong belief in the existence of extraterrestrial life in an interview at the “Beyond the Light” exhibition at Artechouse in New York.

The exhibition, a collaboration between Artechouse and NASA, showcases newly analyzed data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) as an artistic representation of NASA’s cosmic discoveries.

Dr. Thaller pointed out an interesting phenomenon observed on Mars that could be attributed to life on Earth. However, he also warned about our limited understanding of Mars and the possibility of misinterpretation.

Life in Space

Dr. Thailer: “Do I think there is life beyond Earth? Absolutely.”

Noting potential signs of life in the atmosphere of Venus and the potential for microbial life on the icy moons of Jupiter and Saturn, Dr. Thaller emphasized the need for absolute certainty before declaring the discovery of extraterrestrial life.

Despite the harsh conditions on Venus, such as scorching temperatures and a thick acidic atmosphere, Dr. Thaller finds the possibility of microbial life in its clouds fascinating. Stating that we are very close to obtaining concrete evidence of life beyond Earth, Dr. Thailer said, “Do I think there is life beyond Earth? Absolutely.”
