Police in Spain detained a man on suspicion of sexual harassment after he touched a television reporter during a live broadcast.
On Tuesday, reporter Isa Balado was broadcasting live from the scene after a robbery in Madrid. At that moment, a man walked into the frame and touched Balado’s buttocks.
Balado tried to continue the broadcast, but the anchor in the studio, Nacho Abad, intervened: “Isa, forgive me for disturbing you, but did he touch your buttocks?” he asked.
When the reporter confirmed the incident, Abad asked the camera to show the “idiot”. The camera then framed both Isa Balado and the suspect, who was still standing there smiling and laughing.
Balado then said, “You want to know which channel we are, but did you really just touch my buttocks, I’m broadcasting live and I’m working.”
