Last Minute: Increase in Public Transport in Istanbul!

Breaking news: The postponed hike decision for the determination of the minimum wage in UKOME has been announced. Public transportation, taxi and minibus prices have increased in Istanbul. Taxi opening price was 12.65 liras. While the hop-on-hop-off fee for minibuses was 7 TL, the price for students was 4.83 TL.

The 29.10% hike offer for public transportation vehicles in Istanbul was accepted at the UKOME extraordinary meeting in December. Taxi, minibus and shuttle prices have also increased.

LAST MINUTE: DECIDED IN UKOME! PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TIME IN ISTANBUL

With the UKOME decision, electronic ticket, minibus, taxi, taxi cab fare tariffs were increased by 29.10 percent and service fees were increased by 19.95 percent. The minibus hop-on-hop-off fee, which was 5.25 TL, became 7 TL with the new hike.

FULL TICKET IS 9.90 TL

Full ticket increased from 7.67 TL to 9.90 TL. Student ticket increased from 3.74 TL to 4.83 TL. The teacher ticket, which was 5.49 TL, became 7.09 TL.

SUBSCRIPTION PRICES

The price of full subscription increased from 602 TL to 777 TL, and student subscription from 109 TL to 140 TL.

MINIMUM FEE IN TAXI INCREASED TO 40 TL

While the taxi fare was increased by 29.10 percent, the opening price of 9.80 TL became 12.65 TL. Short distance fare increased to 40 TL.

The distance fare per km increased from 6.30 TL to 8.51 TL, and the hourly wage increased from 67.20 TL to 100.80 TL.

STUDENT AND STAFF SERVICES

The 0-1 km fee of school buses increased from 660 TL to 792 TL.

In the personnel service with 10-17 seats, the price increased to 422.41 TL.
