Istanbul’s New Tourist Destination | Camlica Tower
Camlica Tower or Kucuk Camlica TV Tower is the television and viewing tower in Istanbul, Turkey. Uskudar district is located on Kucuk Camlica Hill. The total height of the tower is 369 meters, 221 meters is a 49-storey reinforced concrete structure, and 168 meters is the antenna. It is the building that received an award in the Camlica Hill Television Radio Tower Idea Project Competition, opened by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in 2011, and was decided to be implemented with the election of the then Prime Minister Erdogan. It was completed and put into service in September 2020. It was inaugurated on May 29, 2021. After the tower was put into service, other antenna and antenna towers in the city were removed. There are two restaurants and an observation terrace in the tower. 100 radio broadcasts from this tower can broadcast in the same high quality without cutting each other’s power and interfering with their frequencies. The tower has an observation deck and a restaurant. The tower hosts light shows on special occasions.
