Short History of Iğdır

According to the sources, the history of Iğdır dates back to the Paleolithic Age. BC Urartu, Assyrian, Kimmer and Scythian raids existed in Iğdır. Later, Iğdır came under Arab rule. With the victory of Çaldıran War from Iğdır, where many civilizations had passed, it came under the domination of the Ottomans.
