Pervez Musharraf, the ex-president of Pakistan, has been declared dead.
It has been announced that 79-year-old Pervez Musharraf was treated at a hospital in Dubai for a while and died there.
A retired general, Musharraf came to power in a coup in 1999 and ruled Pakistan from 2001, when he declared himself president, until 2008.
He has been living in Dubai since 2016 due to lawsuits against Musharraf.

Pervez Musharraf was born in 1943. Pervez Musharraf, a Pakistani soldier and politician, took office in a coup d’état and served as prime minister of Pakistan from 1999-2002 and president of Pakistan from 2001-2008.
Musharraf suspended the constitution and declared a state of emergency in 2007 after opposition to a request for an extension of his mandate.
