3 people were caught in a counterfeit money operation in Istanbul. Fake banknotes worth 2 million 300 thousand dollars and 108 thousand euros were seized in the operation.
In the operation organized in Istanbul, 2 million 300 thousand dollars and 108 thousand euros of counterfeit money prepared in banknotes to be put on the market were seized.
Istanbul Police Directorate Anti-Financial Crimes Branch Directorate and Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch Directorate teams started a study upon the determination that some people were printing counterfeit money and putting it on the market.
After technical and physical follow-up, the teams organized an operation at the address determined in Esenyurt and caught 3 foreign suspects.
At the address, 2 million 300 thousand dollars in 100 banknotes and 108 thousand euros of counterfeit money and a money counting machine were seized.
The suspects were arrested by the judicial authorities.
