
Eminönü-Cibali section of Alibeyköy-Eminönü line completed
Eminönü, one of the most crowded places in Istanbul especially during the day due to tourism and trade, has a new rail system. The last stage of the Alibeyköy-Eminönü Tramway Line between Eminönü-Cibali has been put into service. Over 100 thousand passengers are expected to use the line daily.
Istanbul’s rail network continues to expand.
The first section of the Eminönü-Alibeyköy Tram Line opened in 2021,
The second and last phase between Eminönü-Cibali was put into service.
Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu opened the line built by Doğuş Construction.
With the newly opened section, transportation time from Eminönü to Alibeyköy will be 35 minutes.
The line is expected to significantly ease transportation in the region, which is crowded due to tourism and trade.

14 STATIONS
The line consists of 14 stations and is 10 kilometers long.
More than 100 thousand passengers are expected to use the line, which can run every 3 minutes depending on demand.
The new line is integrated with other rail systems and is located within walking distance to Eminönü Pier, one of the key points in the city’s maritime transportation.
