Dr. Lutfi Kirdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital

 Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital was founded in 1974 as a 150-bed Oncology Hospital. It was opened in 1987 as a state hospital with 150 beds. With the start of assistant training in 1988, the hospital was renamed Kartal Training and Research Hospital. In 1992, Suzan Yazıcı Emergency Medical Center Building was put into service. Semiha Şakir Gynecology – Obstetrics and Pediatrics Building was put into service in 1997. Organ Transplant Building was opened in 1998. In 2000, Dr. Lütfi Kırdar was added to the name and It was named Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital. In 2004, the New Polyclinic Building was put into service. In 2004, the Medical Oncology Chemotherapy Unit Building was put into service.  In 2010, the Old Adatepe Red Crescent Medical Center was taken over from the Red Crescent General Directorate and was renovated, the hospital has been opened as Adatepe District Polyclinic. In 2011, Büyükada Additional Service Building was taken over from Kartal SSK Hospital. Medical Oncology Polyclinics have been completely renewed in 2012. Radiation Oncology Polyclinics were modernized. Modern Chemotherapy Practice Hall (85 Seats) was put into service. The first Palliative Care Unit (10 beds) within the Ministry of Health was put into service in the hospital. Three dental polyclinics were opened in the Burn and Wound Treatment Center in the central campus of the hospital. As of October 2019, the hospital has started to provide health services in its new building. As of May 2020, the name of our hospital was changed as KARTAL DR. LÜTFİ KIRDAR CITY HOSPITAL.

As of January 2012, the total bed capacity of the hospital serving in 10 separate buildings was 706. The hospital is currently serving with a capacity of 105 beds in its new building.

You can use Metrobus, Metro, Marmaray, Bus, Minibus to reach the hospital.

By Metrobus:

You can take the metrobus from the nearest metrobus stop and get off the Metrobus at Uzunçayır stop. Then Follow the connection road to the Ünalan metro stop.

By Metro:

You can take the metro from the nearest metro stop to you and get off the subway at the Hospital-Adliye stop.

By Bus:

It can be reached by getting off at the “L. Kırdar Has Acil” stop on the D100.

By Marmaray:

You can take the train from the nearest Marmaray stop and get off the train at the Cevizli stop.

Then, Take the 134 YK IETT bus. For this, cross the road in the direction of Maltepe and wait for the bus at Cevizli Station stop.
