Coronavirus Nightmare in China Again!

The world started to normalize with the loss of the effect of the coronavirus epidemic, but the latest news from China had an earthquake effect. The coronavirus panic in the country is growing. The nightmare of coronavirus has resurfaced in China. According to the reports, the country reported 4,610 new cases. Such a situation has not been seen for a long time in China, which implements a zero-case policy! While this is expressed as the highest one-day increase since the beginning of May, developments are followed with concern.

The coronavirus epidemic, which has been in our lives for more than 2 years, has now eased and normalization steps have been taken all over the world. However, the epidemic has not yet completely disappeared from our lives. While all world states, non-governmental organizations, institutions and organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), continue to closely monitor the coronavirus epidemic, the latest news from China has had an earthquake effect. There is a coronavirus panic in China, where the virus first emerged. In the country, the coronavirus almost resurfaced!

Famous for its zero-case policy, China has reported 4,610 new coronavirus cases, as quoted by BNO News. It was stated that this was the highest one-day increase since the beginning of May.

On the other hand, it was reported that China approved the application of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by BioNTech company, founded by Turkish scientist Ugur Sahin, to German citizens living in the country.

German President Olaf Scholz stated that the two countries agreed to cooperate more closely in the fight against coronavirus at the joint press conference held after meeting with his Chinese counterpart Li Kiqiang during his visit to Beijing.

“This also includes the approval of the BioNTech vaccine for foreigners living in China,” Scholz used the phrase.

While it is unclear whether the German Chancellor refers to foreigners other than German citizens by the word “foreigners”, Caixin, China’s economy and financial news service, reported that the agreement is limited to German citizens.

Scholz stated that he wished the limited use approval agreement would be the first step towards widespread use of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Until now, the use of Covid-19 vaccines other than the domestic vaccines produced by Chinese companies Sinopharm, Sinovac and CanSino Biotech has not been approved in mainland China. The BioNTech vaccine is administered in the Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions.

The BioNTech vaccine, whose production rights in China belong to the Chinese company Fosun Pharma, became one of the most effective vaccines in providing immunity against Covid-19 with its genetically designed formula.

The BioNTech vaccine contains messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) in its formula, unlike the inactivated vaccines used in China, which contain the inactivated version of the virus. The vaccine works by increasing blood sugar enzymes that neutralize Covid-19 in the human body, antibodies that regulate immunity, and glycoproteins that create an immune response at the cellular level.
