In the earthquakes that took place in Kahramanmaras, the inner and surrounding walls of the historical castle, which is one of the symbols of the city, were partially destroyed. Some parts of the castle were destroyed in places.
Thousands of buildings were destroyed and thousands of people were left under the rubble in the earthquakes of 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude that occurred in Kahramanmaraş on February 6 and caused great destruction. The historical structure of the city in Kahramanmaraş was also damaged.
