NAME MEANS HIGH RESOLUTION IN CHINESE
China started producing Gaofin satellites for the first time in 2010 in order to make clearer earth observations from space, and the first satellite, Gaofin-1, was sent into space in 2013.
33 of Gaof’s satellites, whose name means “high resolution” in Chinese, are still active.
