Baltalimani Japanese Garden

Baltalimani Japanese Garden is a park established with the cooperation of Japan and Turkey and managed by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. It was completed in 2003 by the city of Shimonoseki of Yamaguchi province with Istanbul, which has a sister city agreement on the occasion of the ‘Japanese Year in Turkey’. In addition, the Baltalimanı Japanese Garden, which was renovated in November 2015 with the cooperation of the two countries, was reborn as an even more impressive garden.

Located in a magnificent view overlooking the Marmara Bosphorus, the garden features elements such as the Tea Room (Yogetsuan), Waterfall, Pond, Mansion, which is the main character of the JapaneseGarden, and an entrance door inspired by the JapaneseGarden.
