Applications Started for Turkey’s First Manned Space Mission
TÜBİTAK has published a “Science Mission Call” in order to determine the experiments that the Turkish citizen who will go to the International Space Station with the Turkish Space Traveler and Science Mission Project will carry out during the mission.
The Turkish Space Agency offers scientists the opportunity to conduct research and scientific experiments on the International Space Station.
In this context, TÜBİTAK Space called for a “Science Mission” was published.
With the project, the proposals of universities and research institutions on scientific studies to be carried out on the International Space Station will be evaluated.
Institutions, organizations and scientists whose proposals are approved will be designated as “Science Mission Officer”.
Application deadline is July 4
The preparation of the experimental setup and making it ready for launch will be the responsibility of the institution or organization whose proposal has been accepted.
The scheduled tenure for the Science Mission Officer is 10 days. However, the responsible person will be asked to complete the experiments within 7-8 days.
The deadline for the Call for Science Mission has also been announced as July 4.
The deadline for the institutions and organizations whose proposals have been accepted to make the experimental setup ready for flight is April 1, 2023.
