Anne Hathaway, Versace’s New Brand Ambassador
Let’s face it, Hathaway started a style renaissance from last year. And the effects of this wind continue at full speed
The actress, who has been in our lives for a very long time, appeared on red carpets and fashion shows with perhaps better looks than ever before. Many of these important moments also had the Versace signature. Now is the time to take this partnership to a different level. Donetella Versace, whose permanent motto is to offer an arrangement that includes classic pieces that women can refer to in their wardrobes from time to time, shares Hathaway with this motto. The Versace Icons collection is designed to dress strong women, drawing on the designer’s own wardrobe and years of experience ranging from Princess Diana to Michelle Obama and Lady Gaga. Hathaway, on the other hand, appears as Donatella Versace’s muse with her first campaign for the Italian brand, just weeks after her appearance at Versace’s Los Angeles fashion show. The collection is defined as a stylish range inspired by Versace’s distinctive tailoring and the house’s decades of experience dressing strong women.
In the shared images, we see Hathaway in a jeans and corset look, as well as a black dress with Medusa detail on straps inspired by the 1996 Spring collection and a fitted black grain de poudre suit, which is Donatella’s own daily outfit.
To me, the Versace Icons collection is timeless and sharp elegance
I am very proud of these pictures, which seem to represent Donatella’s vision of empowerment. Also, what impressed me most about this wonderful experience is Donatella’s heart, generosity and kindness.”
Donatella adds: “Working with Anne on the set of the Versace Icons campaign was so inspiring. You see how talented she is and how she brings the collection to life. Versace has a long history of collaborating with some of the biggest stars in the world.”
Saying that Anne “loves and understands great clothes”, the designer adds that she has long admired Anne Hathaway, who has a strong career, and that for all these reasons, Anne is “just right for her heart” for both Versace and the collection.
