The tension between Istanbul Taxi Drivers’ Chamber and Martı seems to have ended today with the decision of the Istanbul 14th Criminal Court of First Instance. According to the results of the lawsuit filed by the Istanbul Automobile Chamber against the car sharing application “Martı TAG” and “Martı Motorcycle”, both applications were blocked.
Access Denied to Seagull Apps
Istanbul Taxi Services Chamber of Craftsmen filed a lawsuit against Martı, who has been providing scooter rental services for a long time, at the 14th Criminal Court of First Instance. It has been determined that the two applications developed by the company for cars and motorcycles other than scooters are equivalent to pirate taxi transportation.
Accordingly, the court decided to block access to two applications named “Martı TAG” and “Martı Motorcycle”. In addition to the application, internet sites cannot be accessed. One week was given to appeal the decision.
