6th International Bodrum Jazz Festival Has Started – BLUE JAZZ

Organized by the Jazz Association with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the 6th International Bodrum Jazz Festival started with the theme of “Blue Jazz”.

At the 6th International Bodrum Jazz Festival held in Dibeklihan Culture and Art Village, the Blue Jazz Photography Exhibition was opened, and then the Italian Nino Rota Ensemble Group gave a concert.

Ankara and Bodrum Jazz Festivals Director Pinar Gurer, in her speech at the opening of the festival, stated that difficult times were passed due to the epidemic and it was very nice to be together again with joy and happiness.

Stating that this year’s theme is “Blue Jazz”, Gurer said, “We wanted to draw attention to the climate crisis this year. We say that blue suits Bodrum the most. We want Bodrum to protect its blue shores until the end. We will reflect sad jazz tones in blue notes.”

The festival, which will continue until 30 June at Dibeklihan Culture and Art Village and Bodrum Castle North Trench, will offer days full of art with jazz, blues concerts, workshops and exhibitions.

FREE ACTIVITIES WILL BE AVAILABLE

The festival, which is a member of the European Jazz Network, will also exchange artists with the Rhodes Jazz Festival.

Some events of the festival can be watched online. In the festival, where free events will also take place, events that will be held at the same venue on the same day can be watched with a single ticket.

The stage and audience areas of the festival, which also shows sensitivity to the epidemic process measures, will be in accordance with the distance and hygiene committees.
