5.7 Magnitude Earthquake in Iran! The Shaking Was Also Felt in Van and Hakkari

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 occurred in the city of Hoy, 45 kilometers from the city of Van, Iran. The shaking was also felt in Van and Hakkari.

The earthquake, which was declared as Khoy city of Iran by AFAD and the Emergency Management Presidency, occurred around 13.08 hours. The 5.7 magnitudeEarthquake occurred at a depth of 7 kilometers.

Theearthquake, which occurred 44.85 kilometers away from Van’s border town Başkale, was felt in the city center and districts of Van. Theearthquake caused a short-term panic in the city.
